A descriptive piece of writing about Spring Festival. I think it was probably written by someone as an essay they have been asked to write during the Spring Festival holidays. I really like the way this is written and there is a lot of warmth to the words and the way adjectives are used for emphasis. Not only that, reading it also made me feel quite hungry. Let’s look at some key words.

Key Words

These are 元宵 and they are really quite delicious!

A kind of sweet dumpling made with sticky rice flour.

The sound of cracking/popping often used to describe fireworks.

Cannot wait to get started.

To have changed beyond recognition or to look brand new.

Celebrating Spring Festival
